Melvin L. BoBo, III, is a spiritually empowered motivational speaker who stresses positive changes in attitude, behavior, self-esteem, and school achievement in our youth. He specifically focuses on the problems and needs of our teenagers. Mr. BoBo personally understands their crises and has been blessed with a special gift to address them accordingly. Melvin, a Math Teacher in Georgia, teaches middle and high school students in Algebraic Math Concepts and Pre-algebra. Melvin is an Educational Consultant and the former President of 100 Black Men of Northern Illinois. He was formerly a Student Recruiter for the College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois. His philosophy is:

"God blesses me with each day that the sun rises. My challenge is to affect at least one student in a manner that they decide to do something positive with their life, then - MY LIFE IS NOT IN VAIN."

A native of North Chicago, Illinois, Melvin graduated from Tuskegee Institute in Alabama with a B.S. degree in Economics and a B.S. degree in Management Science. He is working on his Master of Secondary Education degree-(teacher certification) with an emphasis in S.T.E.M. He has facilitated Pen or Pencil Workshops encouraging over 10,000 minority students, 6th through 12th graders, to embrace and affirm education as a lifelong goal in Wisconsin and Illinois. An aspiring photographer, Mr. BoBo was the featured artist for a two-month photographic exhibit entitled 'The Beauty of West Africa'.

Melvin is a lifelong member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He volunteers selflessly throughout the community, especially with youth development. He has completed a Fellows Program in the New Leaders Academy of the National Youth Employment Coalition and presented a national topical study paper entitled "Community Collaborations."
